Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 27, 2026 • Last Updated: September 27, 2026
These Terms explain the rules for using WorkBudi, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using WorkBudi (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use WorkBudi for your organisation, you confirm you may accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What WorkBudi Does
WorkBudi is an AI chief of staff. With your permission it reads the email, calendar and messages you connect, turns what needs you into tasks, and helps you reply, schedule, take meeting notes and write documents through Robin, its AI assistant. Features may change as we improve the Service.
3. Your Account
- Accurate details: Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- Keep it secure: You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once at tech@workbudi.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Age: You must be at least 16, and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live.
4. Connected Accounts
You can connect Google (Gmail and Google Calendar), Microsoft (Outlook mail and calendar) and Slack. By connecting one, you allow WorkBudi to access it with the permissions shown on that provider's consent screen, and only to provide the Service as our Privacy Policy describes. You can revoke access at any time in that provider's account settings.
You must have the right to connect the accounts you connect, and you remain bound by Google's, Microsoft's and Slack's own terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes on their side.
5. AI Output
Robin's tasks, summaries, answers, drafts, meeting notes and documents are produced by AI. They can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important — figures, dates, names, commitments — before you rely on it or send it to anyone. You are responsible for what you choose to send, share or act on.
6. Actions Taken for You
WorkBudi sends an email or message, books, moves or cancels a meeting, or shares a document only when you ask and confirm it. Reminders, briefs and repeating requests you set up run on the schedule you choose. Actions happen in your connected account, as if you had done them yourself.
7. Meeting Notetaker & Recordings
When you send the notetaker to a meeting or record a call, WorkBudi records it and makes a transcript and notes. Recording laws differ by place: you are responsible for telling participants and getting any consent the law requires. The notetaker joins under a visible name so everyone can see it is there.
8. Team Chats & Sharing
- Who sees what: People you invite to a Robin chat can read the whole chat, including anything Robin quoted there. Share only what they should see.
- Whose account works: Each person's questions run on their own WorkBudi account and connected accounts, and use their own work credits — not the owner's.
- Control: The owner can remove people, and anyone can leave. A document shared by link can be opened by anyone with the link until you turn it off.
9. Work Credits & Plans
- Credits: AI features use work credits. The app shows your balance and what an action costs before or as you use it.
- Paid plans: Where paid plans or credit packs are offered, prices and included credits are shown before you buy. Plans renew each period until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Refunds: Fees and used credits are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
- Changes: We may change prices or credit costs; we tell you before a price change applies to your plan.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use WorkBudi for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- send spam, unsolicited bulk or cold email, or messages that harass or deceive;
- record or monitor people without the consent the law requires;
- connect accounts you are not allowed to use, or access other people's data;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or probe the Service for weaknesses, or get around its limits;
- upload malware, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy.
11. Your Content
You own your content — your data, tasks, messages and the documents WorkBudi makes for you. You give WorkBudi a limited licence to host, process and display it only to provide the Service to you and the people you share with. WorkBudi owns the Service itself: its software, design and brand.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that AI output will be accurate.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, WorkBudi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to cover WorkBudi's reasonable costs and losses from claims caused by your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
15. Termination
You can stop using WorkBudi at any time and ask us to close your account at tech@workbudi.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk. When an account is closed, we delete its data as our Privacy Policy describes.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before an important change takes effect. Continuing to use WorkBudi after that means you accept the new Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
